The cooling tower uses water and air
The tower is cooling a large volume of water, which is returned to circulation. Air flows through the tower naturally.
It is drawn in from below, as the tower stands on 112 supporting columns, and then rises upwards.
The cooling tower’s specific shape is designed to promote stable airflow. The bottom of the tower is open to allow for a continuous supply of air.
Inside the cooling tower, there is constant contact between the water and the air, which ensures cooling.
