Primary circuit
Heat is generated in the primary circuit during controlled fission reactions.
Heat is transferred between the reactor and the steam generator via a bundle of separate tubes.
The circuit is isolated from the environment and protected by several safety barriers.
The water temperature reaches approximately 320 °C without turning into steam.
